The Founding Story
I love food. I love cooking. I love my dogs — so it only made sense that those things would come together. Before Daisy and Teddy, there was Nicky — a childhood family dog, raised mostly by my dad. I loved him, but I wasn't the one responsible for his care. Now that I'm older, when Daisy and Teddy came into my life as a pair, I wanted to show up for them in a way I couldn't for Nicky.
Daisy and Teddy came with health struggles of their own, likely tied to genetics and whatever they went through before they came into my life, so I've spent a lot of time learning how to care for them well — figuring out food, treats, routines, and what actually helps. They've taught me as much about life as I hope I've given them in return. Twins Barkery grew out of that: a brand documenting our lives together.
I realize this isn't just my story — it's something a lot of us are looking for: a place to learn, share, and feel less alone in trying to give our pets the best life possible. I want to share everything I'm learning, from goodies and toppers to paw and coat care, the things I'm learning, and the philosophy behind it. I want to share that with other pet parents who care as deeply as I do.
